Employers Information

UBD CoNECT was set up for students to help bridge the gap between academic study and the world of employment. It aims to support the goals of each individual as well as the goals of the employers, university and nation by tailoring career focused skills and resources towards the needs of our students and providing experiences and opportunities for self exploration and development.

For employers, we can help you in the following ways:

  • Exhibition at our annual career fair
  • Promotion of vacancies, internships and placements
  • Arrangement of employer days, talks and workshops
  • Opportunities to browse prospective student profiles and CV’s
  • Sponsorship and advertising opportunities

We encourage all employers to sign up to MyCoNECT where you can take advantage of our above services and we can keep you up to date with our latest events and news.

Annual Career Fair

CoNECT organises an annual career fair which aims to connect students and alumni with prospective employers. Here you will be supplied with a stand where you are free to interact with students, take their details and hand out your material information. You can discuss your graduate vacancies, internship or part-time work opportunities or promote your brand and raise awareness of your current activities and developments.

Since its launch the fair has continued to increase in success, with 2016’s event seeing up to 7,000 visitors and double the exhibitors from 2015. Space is limited so be sure to contact us early to reserve your space.

Details about the next event can be found in your MyCoNECT login.

Vacancies, internships and placements

CoNECT can help you promote your opportunities to some of the highest achieving academic students in Brunei. Whether you are looking to target alumni or students from a particular course, CoNECT can help you to target a specific audience to suit your needs. Through our online vacancy system, targeted emails, or social media channels, we can offer you the exposure you need to reach future professional employees.

Internships are a great way to employ temporary staff that can help you during busy business periods and allow you to choose high performers for full-time roles. If you have not yet developed an internship program and feel it will benefit your organisation, then please get in touch with us to discuss your requirements and how we can help you enhance your workforce and train prospective new staff members.

You can upload your vacancies by registering your company through MyCoNECT

Employer days, talks and workshops

CoNECT can help you to arrange a bespoke event on campus where you can promote your brand, employment opportunities and walk-in interviews or your current activities in an engaging and personal environment. We can offer you a range of facilities ranging from a 70pax venue to a 400 pax venue depending on your needs and can offer a projector and microphone if needed. All events will be promoted though our media channels.

Browse prospective student CVs and profiles

Each student has the ability to create a personal profile page and upload a copy of their latest CV. This gives you the opportunity to headhunt prospective employees and target students and alumni for full-time employment, internship and part-time work opportunities.
